"I can’t possibly say enough about this wonderful restaurant and the even more wonderful people who run it; Loretta and Norberto. The food: Plate after plate of amazing food came out of the kitchen. Every single Item with which we were presented was simply amazing. By the fourth or fifth time Signor Norberto emerged from the kitchen with a tray of food, we were all stuffed, saying we couldn’t eat any more… though, somehow, we did, as the food was excellent. The staff: There appears to be a total of two employees. Loretta and Norberto, the owners of the establishment. What a marvelously sweet, gracious couple they are. Loretta prepares the food, and Norberto attentively ensures that the guests have everything they need. One of our group doesn’t particularly like wine, preferring beer, instead. Norberto informed him that they don’t serve beer. Not long after that, Norberto slipped out the door, and returned with a large bottle of Peroni, just for our friend. What a breath of fresh air from the typically poor to mediocre service of today’s restaurants. After dinner, Loretta and Norbert sat around the table with us and chatted until almost midnight. Although they spoke no English, and we spoke only a few words of Italian, between using translation apps on our phones, playing charades, and other forms of communication, we were able to make ourselves understood by each other. It all made for a wonderful evening; one I’ll never forget. If you find yourself in Civitella D’agliano, do yourself a HUGE favor and dine here. You will not regret it! Oh, make a reservation! I believe they select their food and plan their menu based on their expected guests for that evening."

"Absolutely amazing! Go! Don’t think! The other reviews are so true! We greatly enjoyed eating with Norberto and Loretta. No menu, no prices, no idea what type of culinary adventure you’re getting into. Possibly the best food I’ve had on our trip. It’s completely worth it. We so enjoyed ourselves. Approximately 30-40 Euro per person with wine."

"Loretta is a primo chef! It's like eating at your Grandmother's house. We were showered with antipasto, sautéed vegetables, bruschetta, pasta, and a meat dish. We had amazing wine and were treated royally. It helped that my partner spoke Italiano. The food was excellent. Very small restaurant with minimal seating."

"If I could give this place a 10 star review I would. I must say, if you are traveling in the region, do yourself a favour and stop at this place. This place is authentic Italian cuisine, the atmosphere the locals and the service is amazing. Don’t know what to ask for? "Would you like some real Italian home cooking? Well...we found it and now sharing it so others can discover it as well. I have been in Italy for two weeks already and stumbled upon this little gem. The ambient setting resembles all you would expect from an Italian family house. The quality of the food is second to none, when they say it's home cooking...it's really home cooking. Hands down the best lasagna I have ever had (and i have had lasagna in alot of places), service was spot on even though they were busy, we still got our food and table service at a very quick time. Don't miss this one ;)"
